CloudCIX Limited ("CloudCIX", "we", "us", "our") is a company incorporated in Ireland providing Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and related cloud services.

For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, CloudCIX acts:

  • Data Controller: For personal data relating to website visitors, account holders, billing contacts, and business contacts.
  • Data Processor: For personal data processed on behalf of customers through the CloudCIX platform.

2. Scope of This Notice

This Privacy Notice explains what personal data we collect, how and why we use it, the lawful bases relied upon, retention periods, your rights, and how we safeguard data.

This Notice does not apply to personal data processed by customers on our platform where CloudCIX acts strictly as a Data Processor.

3.3 Customer Platform Data (Processor Role)

Where customers host or process personal data using CloudCIX, we process such data only on documented instructions and in accordance with our Data Processing Agreement (DPA).

  • Legal obligation – To comply with applicable laws.
  • Legitimate interests – To secure and improve services.
  • Consent – Where required (e.g., certain cookies or marketing).

We do not sell personal data.

6.1 Service Providers

We may engage third-party providers (sub-processors) to support service delivery. All providers are bound by GDPR-compliant agreements under Article 28.

6.2 Legal Authorities

We may disclose personal data where required by law, court order, or lawful authority request.

6.3 Business Transfers

Personal data may be transferred in the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring, subject to appropriate safeguards.

7. International Transfers

CloudCIX does not transfer personal data outside the European Union (EU). All personal data is processed and stored exclusively within the EU.

We do not permit access to personal data from locations outside the EU, and we ensure that all sub-processors and service providers engaged by CloudCIX process data solely within EU jurisdictions.

8. Data Retention

  • Account data: Duration of customer relationship
  • Billing data: Retained in accordance with Irish tax law (typically 6 years)
  • Security logs: As required for security and compliance
  • Platform data (processor role): As instructed by the customer

When personal data is no longer required, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
